Birmingham was one of those cities that surprised us in the best possible way. Before visiting, we mainly knew it as a busy city in the West Midlands, but once we started exploring, we quickly realised that there was much more to see than we had expected. The city has a lovely mix of history, modern attractions, beautiful buildings, canals, green spaces and lively streets. Every area seemed to have something different to offer, which made our visit more enjoyable.
