NEET UG 2023: Undoubtedly, NEET-UG stands as one of India's most significant and eagerly anticipated competitive examinations. This exam not only shapes the future cadre of doctors within India and beyond but also profoundly impacts all candidates who participate, often altering their trajectories irreversibly. In essence, NEET UG serves as the competitive examination that sieves candidates for the allocation of MBBS and BDS seats across all medical colleges in India. Additionally, clearing NEET UG is mandatory for those aspiring to pursue MBBS abroad. Administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA), NEET UG has undergone minor adaptations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic's disruptions. In NEET UG 2023, aspirants will encounter increased flexibility in question attempts compared to the pre-pandemic period, albeit retaining the essential characteristics of the exam. NEET UG remains a pen-and-paper examination, requiring candidates to mark their responses on an OMR sheet using a blue or black ballpoint pen. The duration of the exam remains unchanged at 3 hours. The medium of the NEET UG exam remains consistent, offering options in English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia, Telugu, Tamil, and Urdu. Candidates will continue to face multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in 2023. The total number of MCQs remains at 200, with candidates required to attempt 180 questions. The negative marking policy remains unaltered, with candidates receiving 4 marks for each correct answer and losing 1 mark for every incorrect response.
